Joy Fellowship Joy Fellowship is a "get to know each other better" program. New groups of 6 or 7 are drawn every quarter and asked to get together once a month.
Several groups have had some trouble meeting this last quarter for a variety of issues. That sometimes happens, but don't give up.
New groups for Q3 will be drawn and posted on the bulletin board across from the offices before the end of June.
You can sign-up at any time by contacting Jim Murray (745- 6603) or on the sign-up sheets outside the church offices. Additional groups will be formed as soon as we get enough new participants. Also, if you need to "drop-out" for a period of time, that's ok too. Just let Jim know -- and let him know again when you want to re-included.
Everyone who attends Bartlett Chapel is encouraged to participate!
Ice Cream Social to Honor Kevin, Erin & Avery! As most of you are aware, Kevin Bratcher is leaving his position of Youth Director to explore other ministry opportunities. Please join us for a church-wide celebration of Kevin & Erin’s service to Bartlett Chapel during an ice cream social in their honor at 5 pm Aug. 9 in the shelter house!
Please sign the sheet in the Narthex if you can provide a freezer of homemade ice cream for this event. Kevin’s favorite ice cream is his homemade vanilla. We will move inside to the multi- purpose room the weather is unsuitable. Also, we are still collecting photos for a video presentation. If you have a special photo of a youth activity or of Kevin, Erin or Avery, please place it into the basket in the Narthex by Sunday, July 26.
Bartlett Chapel Community Festival - Aug 29 -- 12 – 6 pm Click Here To See Pictures from Last Year This is an outreach program for our community, our chance to show our community how great Bartlett Chapel is. We will have free food, games, inflatable’s and music. There will also be a tent for community services information.
I’m sure at this point you are asking yourself, “How can I help?” Here are some ways: We will need a bunch of volunteers to help make this a success. There are a variety of areas you could help…food, games, inflatable’s, parking, hospitality tent, etc. Be watching for sign-up sheets outside the office on the table.
Another way of helping is to donate items we will need to give away as prizes at the games: cans of pop, candy (please no chocolate due to hot weather) any little item that could be given away as prizes (bubbles, pens, pencils, play dough, etc.). We will also accept monetary donations as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.
New to the festival this year is the Bartlett Chapel Talent Showcase. We would like to “show off” our very talented church members. This showcase is for any talent you may have…. playing an instrument, singing, dancing, acting, juggling, etc. and there is no age limit. Please look for a sign-up sheet on the table outside the office.
Our next planning meeting will be Wednesday, July 29 at 7PM for all who are interested in helping with the festival. To make this festival a success and to show our community what Bartlett Chapel is all about we need a lot of support from our congregation. Please pray about how God wants you to help with this outreach program. If you have any questions, please call Kathy Selch at 403-6184.
