About Bartlett Chapel
Bartlett Chapel is located in Hendricks County, Indiana, about 15 miles west of Indianapolis
on Old US Highway 36. The church is located halfway between the communities of Danville
and Avon and claims members from both communities, as well as Brownsburg, Plainfield
and other neighboring communities.
The congregation was established in 1860 and has seen the area surrounding the church
grow from a completely rural setting to a growing suburb of the City of Indianapolis.
Washington Township is one of the fastest growing areas in the state, with new houses
and business springing up almost overnight.
Established, but on the cutting edge...
The people of Bartlett Chapel are rising to the challenge and the potential of this growth
and have made plans to welcome the tide of new people into our community.
In order to reach a variety of different people, we hold two different worship services each
Sunday Morning.
Our Traditional Worship Celebration is at 8:45 AM and features music by our Chancel
Choir with accompaniment by Organ and two Pianos. Music is supplemented by the
Bartlett "Belles" bell choir, the Men's Gospel Group, Women's Chorus, and others. Music
is a big part of our worship at Bartlett Chapel.
Our Contemporary Worship Celebration is at 11:00 AM and features an informal
presentation with music by the Bartlett Chapel Praise Team, a small combo with keyboard,
guitar, and a number of singers who love and serve God with their musical talents.
We use video slides and presentations in our worship to help communicate the Gospel to
a new generation.
Fellowship Time is at 9:45 AM and provides an opportunity to greet one another while
sharing coffee, juice, and a breakfast snack between services.
Sunday Study Classes for Children, Youth and Adults are offered at 10:00 AM hours.
We have classes or all age groups and interests.
In addition, we have Children's Ministries, Small Group Fellowship, Bible Studies, and
Youth Ministries meeting throughout the week all designed to help introduce the Good
News of God's love to people who are currently not a part of any church..
Expanded for You!
As the Lord keeps blessing us, Bartlett Chapel has had to expand our worship space.
Our new Sanctuary is the third one we have occupied since our church began.
It enables us to seat up to 700 people and offer praise and worship to our Lord and
Savior. We opened our new worship space on August 11, 2002 after several years of
planning and two years of construction.
The main strength of a church, however is not its seating capacity but its sending capacity.
The people of Bartlett Chapel are committed to reaching out into our community in
practical ways to love and serve others for the sake of Jesus Christ.
We invite you to come, be a part of God's family.
