Bartlett Chapel also serves as a Relay Center for Operation Christmas Child each year. In addition to our own filled shoe boxes, we receive filled shoe boxes from the surrounding communities and area churches, and package them into large cartons for shipment to regional shipping locations.

Project Linus
The Project Linus was started in 1998 and has its Headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois. Its purpose is to give comfort to children who are seriously ill or otherwise in need of loving support by giving them a special hand made blankets. The blankets given to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child needs a big HUG.
We have four blanket making sessions at Bartlett Chapel. Two are for kitting and crocheting, and two are for tie blankets. The ladies continue to work on these blankets in their homes and we generally supply about 50 - 60 blankets each year. Our blankets are given to our coordinator and used in Hendricks County, and on a need basis they sometimes go to a surrounding County.
Making the blankets give us an opportunity to comfort and give security at a time when it is needed most, and it is also very rewarding for those who participate.
I will be glad to help anyone who is interested in participating, if only they would
call me. Cindi 272-2262. More general information is available at: www.
