Bartlett Chapel is a United Methodist Church located in Hendricks
County, Indiana, about 15 miles west of Indianapolis on Old US Highway
36 (about mid-way between Avon and Danville). The church serves Avon,
Brownsburg, Danville, Plainfield, and west Indianapolis communities.
The congregation was established in 1860 and currently has a weekly
attendance of about 370 total in three services in a beautiful new
sanctuary opened in 2002. The sanctuary has seating for about 700. We
have room for you and your family!
The 8:45 AM service uses a "traditional" format and includes choir,
organ, and piano music. The 11:00 AM service uses a "contemporary"
format and features a praise team, keyboard, and other instruments as
they are available.
A 6:45 PM service was recently added to provide for those who are unable
to attend either of the morning services. It perhaps more closely
resembles a bible study, lead by pastor Don, and includes old time hymn
singing. It is very informal and is held in the Multi-purpose Room.
Children are welcome. The initial focus is on the Book of Acts, which
gives the church its marching orders for reaching out to others.
The message is the same at both morning services - God loves you and
wants you to love and obey Him. He reached out to us through the old
testament prophets, and through Christ Jesus, and He is still reaching
out to us today. You may see Pastor Don's sermon plan on the
Upcoming Events page, and you may hear recent sermons from the
Sermon & Newsletters page.
Bartlett Chapel is known as a warm, friendly church and we would love to
have you join us in worship and fellowship. If you would like to read more
about us please go to the Church History page.

Our beautiful new sanctuary is pictured below along with a portion of
our spectacular Dove window, but the real reason to come is for you to
establish a relationship with Jesus, and then continue to grow in that
relationship. Like all people, we make mistakes and fall short of
God's glory, but together with you, we can help each other toward that
end. Please come join us. Jesus is calling you. Come to our church
or find some other church that fits you better, but please come.
